A shoe that is capable of generating nano-electricity

An Italian company has developed a prototype shoe that is able to generate electricity from the movement of people.

Vibram is a well-known Italian company in the field of shoe production. The company has unveiled a prototype of its new product that can convert kinetic energy into electricity to be used for mobile charging. The shoe is made with Vibram’s proprietary technology and the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) has assisted Vibram in this project. In addition, InStep Nanopower has been involved in the production of this product. It should be noted that InStep Nanopower is an American company that uses nano technology in the field of renewable energy.

Using nanotechnology, the two Italian and American companies have developed shoes that can convert people’s movement into electrical energy and store it. This energy can also be used to charge accessories such as mobile phones.

This is done by placing an electronic component in the center of the shoe that can generate electrical energy. If people move at a normal speed, this shoe can produce one watt of energy, and by moving for 8 hours, it can provide the energy needed to charge a mobile phone. Of course, the weight of people also affects the amount of energy produced, so that with increasing weight and speed of movement, the amount of energy produced also increases.

The shoe has a chip that connects to electronics via Bluetooth so that the user’s physical condition such as foot temperature, position, and a number of steps can be controlled. Information about the shoe battery level can also be controlled using this technology and this information can be obtained via a mobile phone. In addition to charging, these shoes are equipped with a micro USB port through which the generated energy can be transferred to other electrical appliances.

The Italian company has signed a joint venture agreement with Lenovo to use the GPS system in these shoes and this system can be connected to other Lenovo electrical appliances.
