Since the shoe industry is considered as one of the most important industries in every country, so the choice of its type in terms of beauty, durability and health factors has long been considered by everyone. One of the most important factors in attracting and retaining and ultimately customer satisfaction in this industry is the use of quality control systems and quality assurance.

In this study which aims to analyze the effect of using quality control systems on customer satisfaction in the shoe industry, using documentary and survey methods, from the statistical population of buyers in the Tehran shoe market, possible random sampling Simplified.

The factors studied in this study are quality control methods, quality control system, customer behavior, customer satisfaction and loyalty in the shoe industry. The validity coefficient of the instrument used (questionnaire) was estimated to be 0.823 using Cronbach’s alpha, then 385 questionnaires were distributed among the sample size.

Using different tests such as Pearson correlation coefficient test and regression, the data were analyzed and at the end the results were announced and the statistical results were described and analyzed and then the final conclusion was made. Finally, this study indicates that the use of quality control system has been effective on customer satisfaction and loyalty in the shoe industry.

Today, shoes are considered as a very necessary item in the basket of households, so that foot health and care has been considered as the second heart for a long time and since the time humans set foot on the planet. In Iran, the shoe industry is one of the important items of non-oil exports and every year a large volume of the country’s products are exported to neighboring countries and all over the world.

The result of using a quality control system commensurate with the production of shoes can be considered an important step in attracting new customers and retaining existing customers. In today’s industrialized countries, two-way communication with the customer is at the forefront of marketing planning, and the costs required to do so and to satisfy customers and make them loyal are considered a valuable investment. On the other hand, it should be said that dissatisfied customers cut off from the organization simply cannot be returned to the customer base.

Scientific and research studies show that dissatisfied customers are more active in conveying their perceptions and feelings to others. Therefore, customer dissatisfaction is more effective than their satisfaction. The shoe industry also takes an effective step to increase customer satisfaction with its products by using quality control systems and always tries to increase its share in Iran’s non-oil export basket by creating the best conditions.

The importance of quality was highly regarded in the 1940s and 1950s, and was first applied to manufacturing and then to service sectors.

Expressing the problem and its necessity

The world is changing at an alarming rate, and organizations must adapt to change in order to survive. Therefore, organizations need to continuously improve their performance in order to be able to stay on the page of the day. Give. In this regard, one of the important tools to improve performance is the use of quality control techniques.

In 1960, the first quality control circles were formed in Japan to improve quality control methods. The main purpose of forming these rings was to provide suitable conditions for improving the quality of the product.

In recent years, in most production units, various quality control systems guarantee the health, hygiene and well-being of people in the community. The studies made the author realize the importance of using quality control systems in the shoe industry and collect information to prove it by raising the issue.

 This research has several more limited and more objective objectives:

  • Recognize and describe the level of customer satisfaction in the shoe market of how to use quality tools
  • Recognize and describe the level of customer satisfaction in the shoe market from the materials and supplies used in the production of shoes
  • Recognize and describe the level of customer satisfaction in the shoe market from the behavior of the product provider

Research Hypotheses Based on the theoretical framework of the research and related indicators, hypotheses are formulated are as follows:

  • There is a relationship between customer satisfaction and the insertion of standard signs and quality assurance on the product (shoes).
  • There is a relationship between customer satisfaction and the use of quality control systems in the footwear industry.
  • There is a relationship between the use of quality control system and loyalty in the shoe industry.
  • There is a relationship between the type of quality control system and customer satisfaction in the footwear industry.

Research Methods

The present research is of a research type due to its nature. In addition to describing the characteristics, this method also seeks to explain the phenomena. The statistical population of this research includes all buyers of shoes in Tehran shoe market. The measurement tool in this research is a questionnaire to collect information and is tailored to the research objectives and hypotheses. In this study, the validity and reliability of the questionnaire were confirmed by a number of stakeholders in the field of footwear and in order to determine the reliability of the tests, Cronbach’s alpha method was used.

For this purpose, a prototype consisting of 20 questions was performed and then using the data obtained from this questionnaire and with the help of Spss statistical software, the confidence coefficient was calculated by Cronbach’s alpha method.

The number 0.823 was obtained, which indicates that the questionnaire used has the necessary reliability and reliability.

Age-related frequency distribution

16.6% of the sample are under 25 years old, 26% are between 25 and 35 years old, 22.6% between 36 and 45 years, 2.26% between 46 and 55 years and 8.6% are over 55 years old.

Frequency distribution related to marital status

44.9% of the samples are single and 1.55% of them are married.

Frequency distribution related to the degree

26.2% of the samples are in terms of level of education below diploma and diploma, 4.38% have a postgraduate degree, 24.2% have a bachelor’s degree, 7.5% have a master’s degree and 4.3% have a doctorate.

Frequency distribution related to gender

67.5% of the samples are male and 5.32% are female. As can be seen, the number of male customers is more than twice that of women.

 

Conclusion

The results show that its components, including meeting expectations and tastes and respecting consumer rights by using quality control systems, have a significant effect on customer satisfaction in the footwear industry. The present study proves that the satisfaction of shoe buyers in the Tehran market is completely influenced by factors such as product guarantee, quality, durability and strength, all of which make sense in the use of quality control systems.

Therefore, in order to stay in the competition and make a profit, shoe manufacturers must direct their policy towards production based on the use of quality control systems.

  1. The use of new methods of quality control in order to improve the level of customer satisfaction in the shoe industry to be institutionalized and expanded among manufacturers in this field.
  2. The Trade Unions Supervision and Inspection Organization shall take action to revoke the licenses of producers who do not have a quality assurance card and take legal action against the violators.
  3. The Standard Organization of Iran should take the necessary training, licensing and follow-up regarding the establishment of a quality control unit in shoe manufacturing companies in order to respect the rights of consumers.
  4. Continuous improvement of the production process and customer-centric emphasis among shoe industry manufacturers.
  5. Emphasizing the importance of the role of quality management in manufacturing companies and the continuous cooperation of other units with it.
